THURSDAY

9:00 p.m. (Just after dark) - The annual Necon Weenie Roast - Ghost stories 
from our GOHs, and more!  Saugies, chips, beer, etc.

FRIDAY

9:00 a.m. - Coffee and doughnuts at registration

10:00 a.m. - The Necon Olympics begin with miniature golf! (Note:  The convoy 
to the miniature golf course will leave Roger Williams at approximately 9:30 
a.m.  Make sure you sign-up at registration before Friday morning to ensure 
your spot.

12:00 p.m.- Resurrection!  How to revive the horror genre in six easy lessons!
 Lesson #1 -- Holly Newstein (moderator); Lesson #2 -- Michael Arruda; Lesson #3 
-- Alexa DeMonterice; Lesson #4 -- Dan Keohane; Lesson #5 -- Kevin Johnson; Lesson 
#6 -- Linda Addison.

1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. - Lunch

2:00 p.m. - How We Make Our Monsters -- Les Daniels, Gerard Houarner, Phil 
Nutman (moderator), Stanley Wiater, Yvonne Navaro, Trish Cacek.

3:00 p.m. - The Horror made manifest!  Getting that icky stuff in art. Jill Bauman (moderator) Richard Sardinha, Cortney Skinner, Glenn Chadbourne.

4:00 p.m. - Media presentation 
"The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra" -- an actual movie 
(partially filmed in Bronson Canyon!), directed by Larry Blamire with special props 
and costumes by Cortney Skinner, presented by Cortney and co-conspirators Bob Deveau 
and Donna Asali. Bob played the farmer in The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, and his 
wife, Donna was involved in the make up.  Skinner designed the spaceship, built on 
site in Bronson Canyon, and designed and built the Mutant costume and the 
Transmutatron.  There will be SPECIAL LOST SKELETON COLLECTIBLES as a giveaway 
drawing at the screening for about thirty lucky attendees, and we'll have a 
short Q&A ( If anyone has any...) ... with Cortney, Bob and Donna fielding any 
of the questions.

6:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. - Dinner

7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. - Artist Reception

8:00 p.m.-Midnight -  Meet the authors in the bar.  The Olympic Competition in 
pool will take place at approximately 10:00 p.m.  Players interested in pool 
should see Paul Dobish.  Play is limited to 16 players and is on a first come, 
first served basis.  

SATURDAY

8:30-9:00 - Breakfast

10:00 a.m. - The Editors Speak - Horror Publishing in the Real World -- Have 
recent events changed the face of "commercial" horror?  Ginjer Bucahanan, 
Laura Anne Gilman, Melissa Singer, Gordon Linzner (moderator)

11:00 a.m. - Location Location Location!  Or a Place for the Fright!  Setting 
in Horror, from Oxrun Station to the Ends of the Earth.  Charlie Grant, Graham 
Joyce, Tina Jens, Dallas Mayr, Rick Hautula (moderator).
  
12:00 p.m. - GOH get-together. Trish grills the big three (Graham, Doug and 
Chris)

1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Lunch

2:00 p.m. - The Meaning of Death!  After 22 years, we finally get down with 
the big D. Craig Gardner (moderator) Chris Golden, Doug Winter, Peter Straub, 
F. Paul Wilson.

3:00 p.m. -  Looking back - Why does nostalgia figure so heavily in horror?  
Doug Clegg, Beth Massie (moderator), Tom Monteleone, Steve Spruill, Matt 
Costello.

4:00 p.m. - Softball has been berybery good to us. Played in the usual place (ask Dan.) Also: the Olympic Competition in Croquet. (Note: Both the dealers room and art show will be closed down at this time, allowing everyone to participate in these events.)

6:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. - Dinner

7:00 p.m.-???.  The Surviving the Weakest Link Tough Enough Fear Factor of 
American Idols (a special Reality Edition of That Damned Game Show) After 
that, it’s back to the bar. 

10:00 p.m. -  Stan Wiater presents: Two episodes of Dark Dreamers in the 
Rathskellar.  The Olympic Competition in Hi-Lo Jack will take place at 
approximately 10:00 p.m.

SUNDAY

8:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. - Breakfast

10:00 a.m. - Recommendations - some of our reading experts get down and dirty 
with suggestions for what’s good out there, both new and old - Garrett Peck, 
Roman Ranieri (moderator), Hank Wagner, Darrell Schweitzer, Matt Schwartz, 
Dave Hinchberger

11:00 a.m. -  Town Meeting - The annual information gathering session.  Ask 
the committee any questions you want.  Discuss possible future guests, ideas 
for panels, etc.

1:00 p.m. - ??? - The Long Goodbye, or The Last Picnic Show.  In other words, 
Lunch behind the student union.

Programming Note: You may notice that the traditional Necon Roast is not mentioned above. This, however, does not mean that the Roast will not occur. Indeed, the Roast might begin at any moment over the Necon weekend. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
